So far we've had no less than eight (8) small computer companies in the UK blatantly copy the content of this site and paste it onto their pages.
We are surprised and (just a bit) proud that our humble little site is worth copying!
There is a darker side to all this however...
Apart from the obvious moral issues, there is the very real possibility of search engines penalising our site due to duplicate content on other computer related sites.
Thanks to organisations like Copyscape we are able to identify and take action against those who choose to 'copy and paste'.
We have spent many hours working on the wording of this site to make sure we are happy with the results. What is particularly irritating is the fact that these 'copycats' don't even try to change a few words around; their content is (or was) the same, word for word.
Surely if you are clever enough to fix computers, you can come up with some original (or not-so-similar) content for your site!
Google will penalise your site if you have duplicate content - it's not worth it!!!!
