Caravan Control Board

Caravan control board with broken ethernet socket

Something quite different in the workshop! A client brought in an ArScilicii caravan (motorhome) electrical control board (control panel) with a broken off RJ45 (ethernet) socket, hoping that we could repair it.
We took a look and found the through-hole connection pins had completely broken off the ethernet socket, but remained soldered to the board. We ordered a new socket for him which we got the next day. Luckily we were able to find one that fit perfectly and with the help of the trusty Hakko 808 Desoldering Tool, it was a quick and easy solder job to remove the broken pins and replace the broken socket with the brand new one. Another happy customer!
